What are the opening hours of Odprta kuhna?
Every sunny Friday from the end of March to the end of October we’re at Ljubljana’s Pogačarjev Square from 10 AM to 9 PM. In the summer months (June to September) we stay open an hour longer, until 10 PM.
We visit Celje a couple of Saturdays a year when we hang out from 10 AM to 8 PM.
Novo mesto and Ptuj host the Open kitchen a few Saturdays each, for Nova Gorica we choose some Wednesdays - on all three locations, the food market starts at 10 AM and finishes at 9 PM.
Our culinary dates in Koper last from 11 AM to 9 PM on selected Saturdays.

How do I get there?
The Open kitchen is right in the centre of Ljubljana, at the Pogačarjev Square, a part of the Central Ljubljana Market. As most of the city centre is closed for traffic, you'll have the easiest time getting there on foot or by bike. If you're more of a public transport person there are some bus stops nearby (Krekov trg, Zmajski most, Pošta) and there's a BicikeLJ city bike station right there at the market. Whatever you decide on, expect a 5-10 minute scenic stroll through the charming streets of the city centre to get to us.
In Celje, you’ll find our stands in the centre, at the Celje City Market and Savinova Street.
The Open kitchen in Nova Gorica is set on Bevkov Square, across the street from the municipality building on one side and the high school on the other.
In Novo mesto we meet up at Glavni, in Ptuj in Mestni Square - both locations are in the city centre, right in front of the City Hall.
In Koper, we are located at Carpacciov Square, right behind Taverna, that provides a soothing shade, and just a few steps away from the sea.
Can I make a reservation?
There are no reservations at the Open kitchen, but there's plenty of room for sitting down in and around the market - a large seating area with tables and benches, the popular stairs overlooking the hustle and bustle of the market or just about anywhere else in the market if you use your imagination. Just pick up some food and drinks at the stalls and find your favourite spot to sit back, relax and enjoy the laid back atmosphere of the market.
