And you thought November was boring

We do miss our Friday get-togethers, the playful sun in Pogačarjev trg and all of the delights prepared by our wonderful vendors. While hardly awaiting Marc, we are by no means hibernating.

What have we been up to in November?

We treated ourselves to another wonderful MINIkuhna adventure and zigzagged to sunny Dolenjska. A colourful convoy of MINI vehicles first took us to the world-renowned meat tasting at Biosing, and then to an all-but-simple lunch at Dnevni Bar Pr'Mrtinet. Mostly grilled delights and an afternoon spent in good company filled us with energy for the last challenge of the day – a pastry workshop led by the best and kindest teacher, Lea Grom of Stories by Lea. Together with MINI Slovenia, we organized a wonderful autumn trip - one that we will fondly remember for years to come.

Brina took care of one crazy, crazier, craziest end of the month, venturing out in the crowd again on November 25, visiting Aftr. In collaboration with Tourism Ljubljana and Gourmet Ljubljana, she organized the first Brina Cockcompetition, which provided plenty of new knowledge and loads of fun. Dominik Gobec, Gal Pilko, and Anja Skrbinek, the leading local experts in mixology and beverage managers of Slovenia’s top restaurants, shared their tricks and tips with the audience. The evening continued with the first competition of five young stars of contemporary mixology, as we see it, the bright hopes of the bubbling mixology field. The winner of the first Brina competition was Samo Simjanovski, winning also the right to shake his tail feathers for years to come. Thanks to the excellent cocktails of the guest duo Silk & Fizz, snacks prepared by Jorg Zupan and the team, and the musical accompaniment by DJ Monday, we drank and danced into the night. Brina slipped away in the late hours, swishing with her long coat in the chase of her beauty sleep, but luckily not without a promise to meet again next year.

What's coming up in December?

Some much-needed rest, the maturing of excellent ideas for the new season, lots of time with loved ones, and plenty of good food, of course.
