Meet Nik!

Nik is the only member of our team that knows Luka Dončić.

Now that we’ve got your attention, keep reading and get to know Nik. Nik is a nice guy. He likes animals (especially his dog Misty), long walks up Ljubljana’s Castle hill and Lea’s pistachio cookies.

He is also the youngest and freshest member of the Open kitchen’s team that will soon join Alma, Lior and their small gang of chatty yet productive girls in the office. What is your role in the team?

Lately, I’ve been managing the students' team that takes care of preparing the Open kitchen at Pogačarjev trg and making sure that everything runs smoothly without any ‘situations’. I will still take care of the things most visitors don’t even notice but in addition to that, I will soon join the team in the office.

What’s the funniest thing that happened at Odprta kuhna?

Once, I bought a new jacket and spilt coffee all over it while preparing the stands in the morning.

Were you a good student?

No, I was more interested in girls and the monkey business. I never had problems with the grades, though. But I pulled myself together a bit after high school. 

What do you enjoy most about the Odprta kuhna team?

That we always stick together and come up with the best solutions.

What do you miss most at the moment?

Partying, hanging out, being relaxed. And the Open kitchen, of course.

What’s the most stressful part of your job?

While preparing, you have to think of 1000 different things. But I think the most stressful part is yet to come ...

Which dish do you prepare most often?

Eggs. Every day. And the chicken in many many different ways.

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?

I wish people would be kinder to one another.
