So, the spring is here

She brought macarons.

We truly looked forward to this spring, finally letting go of some of the epidemiological burdens of these past years, visiting our favourite eateries without the hassle, even eating croissants outside. Most importantly, we were finally able to plan the new season of our beloved get-togethers more freely.

So, last Friday, we marked the beginning of the 10th season of Odprta kuhna and succeeded in inviting spring to Ljubljana with our culinary merrymaking. In the morning we still had to argue with the last winterish breeze, but when all the pots, pans and grills at Pogačarjev trg warmed up and the sun finally showed its face, our smiles beamed just as bright. Throughout the day we strolled along with the pretty stands, eating and drinking so well … So well! In the evening, we watched you (nothing creepy, don’t worry) grooving with Udo Brenner's funky beats in the first DJ set of the season and our hearts exploded with joy.

We have such a lovely time together, don't we? Stop by this Friday to get tickled by the first warm sunbeams of the season. Meet the newbies and make them feel welcome, say hello to your favourite vendors, wave to the ever-smiling Karim, joining us for the first time in this season, and find yourself a glass of your special beverage to cheer to all our dear mothers on their day*.
