Oh, summer

Those lovely summer days. Each summer spent in Ljubljana is an adventure in itself. We would never trade it for a crowded beach or evening walks by the bay, accompanied by the smell of stale calamari, dusty one-man-bands melodies and unimpressive ice cream. Oh no! We would much rather enjoy summer in Ljubljana, especially on those perfect Fridays when the temperature is just right and you feel the gentle breeze blowing around the corners.

Those are the Fridays that make us feel grateful for those shiny little moments of our lives. The moments we can spend with a glass of a refreshing beverage in our hands, noticing the children playing by the fountain, dogs’ tails wiggling in excitement, awkward glances shared between two young lovers and curious tourists giggling in their summer hats. But most importantly, all of you, dearest regulars who always make sure not one Friday get-together passes without its magical atmosphere.

So, here is what we are going to do: this Friday, we will make our way to the Brina stand at Pogačarjev trg. We will carefully choose our favourite combination of gin and its accessories and marvel at the artful hands of the team, filling our glasses with ice and magical potions and garnishing them with herbs, berries or flowers. We will find our favourite spot to enjoy the perfect summer setting, raise our clinking glasses to the sky and cheer: Here’s to summer! Here’s to Ljubljana! Here’s to all of you lovely people!
