The November’s being good to us too


When the situation calms down a bit at the Open kitchen (any day now, we keep telling ourselves) and the whole team manages to get together, we always opt for one great culinary day. Around 10 a.m., the potential lunch ideas emerge, followed by very opinionated discussions about delivery options and locations of our favourite eateries. One would opt for the Korean restaurant across the street, while the second one is in need of some soup. The third one longs for some Chinese yet again, the fourth would like some pizza, the fifth one thinks it’s time for something healthier, and the sixth is happy to join in on whatever. If anything, we take food seriously at our office. When we finally agree on the location, we put a lot of thought into choosing the dishes and always decide on ordering a couple more, you know, just in case. We then spend our hour(s) lunch-breaking, laughing loudly, and sharing delicious bites and thoughts on at least four subjects simultaneously. And then maybe also some sweets at the end.


Imagine our excitement finding out that November is the most culinary month in Ljubljana and that the November Gourmet project, organized by Ljubljana Tourism and Gourmet Ljubljana, is yet again filled with exciting options and activities. If we could, we would visit all of the events planned! So far, we’ve mingled at European Food Summit, joined in at the Gourmet Ljubljana crawl and Experience dinner, and listened to some incredible speakers at the summit gathering. We were thrilled to be introduced to the new Common-Sensitarian manifesto and would advise you to support the initiative. This week, we will immerse ourselves in the wonders of Microworld, taste some wonderful festival wines and then maybe stop by at another degustation or two. Before the month is over, we will try to find out more about the secret held by Monstera and even join some of the November Gourmet shindigs with the whole team.
