The 4th season of Open kitchen is closed

In the last October weekend we concluded the 4th season of Open kitchen with events in Ljubljana and Koper. Both were beautiful and a bit sentimental as we’ve lived through so many wonderful culinary moments together. This year we’ve made more than 40 events in four cities with 75 different vendors. We’ve tasted a truly varied and interesting selection of food and drinks; from traditional Slovenian specialties to various international dishes, from raw and vegan to fish and meat, from aromatic coffee to exquisite wines and beers - there was something for everyone. 

We’d like to thank everyone who made the season spectacular: You, dear visitors, for your good energy that gave us the inspiration to be even better. To all our vendors that surprise us with an array of flavours and aromas time and time again. To all the members of the team for their hard work and determination, for the ideas and help. To the collective of the Ljubljana market for being with us from the very beginning and supporting us for four seasons of Open kitchen. To the teams in Celje, Koper and Nova Gorica for helping us to move our project to new places and introducing us to many new and interesting people. And to everyone else who made sure that Odprta kuhna has sailed through more than a hundred events. 

We’ll miss the busy culinary market in the winter for sure. But don’t worry, Open kitchen will be back with fresh ideas and new strength in the spring of 2017.
