What’s cooking?
A wonderful season is upon us.
Stop by Pogačarjev trg this Friday to join in on the fun and call upon the spring with our joyous laughs. To help make your decision even easier, we listed some of the details of our new season.
The culinary carousel awaits
Again, we will spin among the stands of the eateries we enjoy the most! Again, we will stroll down the culinary path. From šmorn (kaiserschmarrn) to grilled ribs, from calamari to ice cream rolls, from noodles to the roasted piglet, from tauk to the colourful burgers, preferably with a glass of our favourite magic potion in our hand. For all of us who like to plan ahead, here is a list of all the participating vendors.
Of course, a visit to all the newbies is a must - there will be around 15 joining us throughout the season. At the opening, 6 of them will present their offer. Majaronka will charm us with her colourful brioche buns, arancini and ice cream sandwiches, Pri babici Marici will serve the krškopolje pig and rabbit buns, and OPA Resort will offer beef tongue and crayfish. The Bon Bon čokoladni atelje will leave us in awe with the many many chocolaty options, and our sweet tooth will certainly be well taken care of at the Le Mousse Goose stand as well. And we mustn’t forget to stop by DobroVino.si to discover our new favourite wine!
In the weeks to come, the Open kitchen caravan will be joined by Linda Bistro, their chicken burger, curry and chickpeas fritters, Ogam Korean Restaurant with cupbap, Korean fried chicken and dumplings, and Merit Showroom with a selection of top-notch drinks. Trendy Ljubljana’s restaurants will be there as well, Restavracija Maxim, for example, with duck confit gourmet sandwiches and marinated salmon doughnuts, and Birdie, which recently enriched the capital’s culinary offer with modern minimal cuisine and impressive wine selection. But that’s not all …
How about that?!
For the first time after 2019, the Open kitchen will be joined again by Atelje, our first-ever come-back with a Michelin star. Well, oysters, caviar and champagne will be perfect for that occasion.
Good company, good collaboration, good deeds
We will have a good time in this new season. The food will be good, of course, as well as the new collaboration project with Tourism Ljubljana and their Gourmet Ljubljana brand. We also plan to host a few guest chefs during the season - that will be swell. In good company, we will enjoy the occasional street art performances and fun DJ sets. And most importantly, we will do good and give back to the community with a donation to the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth for the renovation of their kitchen and storage space, used for meal preparation and educational workshops for young families in need.
